Siddha Medicinal Uses :

1. The flour of the tuber is used as a dietary aid in acute diarrhoea, gastro-enteritis etc.
2. The flour of aroow root is given as a nutritive supplement in the form of gruel to patients especially in the convalescent period and to infants.
