The hospital doctors claimed the Siddha medicine ‘Ayabringaraja Karpam’ made from iron and amla can cure grey hair and hair fall. Ayabringaraja Karpam is one of the treasures of Indian medicines developed by ancient siddhars (sages), said Dr S Kamaraj, government medical officer at the ESI hospital.
“World Siddha Day” is an occasion, yearly celebrated to remember our Siddhars who gave us invaluable medicinal methods to cure all diseases. Siddhars presented Ayabringaraja Karpam to fight even death,” Dr Kamaraj said.
Monthly, around 200 patients, mostly youth, approach the siddha wing of the ESI hospital to get treatment for grey hair and hair loss. The hospital prescribes them ‘Ayabringaraja Karpam’. Dr Kamaraj claims this medicine will start giving good result after continuous consumption for nearly six months.
“There is no effective treatment for grey hair and hair loss in allopathy. But siddhars had made Ayabringaraja Karpam many centuries ago not only to cure hair-related problems but also to overcome wrinkles, aging and death. The medicine will not expire for many centuries,” Dr Kamaraj claimed.
The medicine, which comes in powder form, should be consumed 100mg twice a day with pure honey. Consumption of the medicine along with ‘Amla Legiyam’ will give additional benefits. As hair-related problems occur due to deficiency of vitamins, doctors advice to include iron-rich foods like amla, dates etc. Currently, the medicine is not available in rest of the government Siddha centres in the district.
