AMR Charitable Trust and Centre for Traditional Medicine and Research (CTMR) is looking forward for inauguration of Siddha Health Centre at Sri Saradha Niketan College for Women, Kanavaipudur, Omalur Taluk, Salem on 15 August 2011 at 11 A.M. The inauguration of the centre would be done by Sri V. Prabhakaran, IFS, Director of Sericulture, Govt. of TN and Presided by Sri. P Arulmudi, Chairman AMR Trust. Dr M.Padma Sorna Subramanian Ph.D, Research Officer Siddha Medicinal Plant Garden, Mettur would initiate the Herbal Garden Project and Dr R. Sudha Ph.D would be delivering the key note address. This Health centre is mainly focussing on the health needs of young rural women who stay in the college hostel and adjoining villages. Nutritional disorders like Anaemia and other Health problems are the basic matter to be taken into consideration as per a report given to Team Siddham by CTMR. CTMR is presently running free clinics for the marginalized particularly for treating common ailments with Siddha Medicine. The vision of “Siddha Health Centre” as an initiative “for reaching the unreached” is put into action and hope that this great effort of CTMR brings huge benefit to Mankind.
