Gandhinagar, April 2025: Union Minister of State for AYUSH, Shri Prataprao Jadhav, underscored the vital role of homeopathy in realizing India’s national health goals during the World Homoeopathy Day 2025 celebrations in Gandhinagar. The two-day international convention, held at Mahatma Mandir, marked the largest-ever gathering in the history of homeopathy with over 10,000 delegates in attendance.
Strengthening Homeopathy in India’s Healthcare Vision
Speaking at the conference, Minister Jadhav highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to mainstream traditional systems of medicine, particularly homeopathy, within public healthcare frameworks. He emphasized homeopathy’s potential in preventing and managing chronic diseases and proposed its integration into the “Disease-Free India Campaign” for long-term public health impact.
“Homeopathy is gentle, cost-effective, and safe. Its integration into national health programs will ensure a more inclusive and holistic approach to healthcare,” he said.
Conference Highlights: Education, Practice, and Research
Organized by the Ministry of AYUSH, in collaboration with the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH), and the National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), the event focused on the theme “Education, Practice, and Research”—the foundational pillars for strengthening the homeopathic ecosystem.
Attendees included academicians, clinicians, students, researchers, and industry leaders from across India and abroad, reaffirming India’s leadership in the field of alternative medicine.
Chief Minister’s Address and Special Launches
The event was inaugurated by Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, who praised the Ministry of AYUSH for selecting Gujarat to host this landmark gathering. He noted the increasing global acceptance of homeopathy and its potential to transform healthcare accessibility in both rural and urban areas.
