Siddha Medicinal Uses :
- For itching of scalp, insomnia & hairfall it is good to take 2 to 3 grams of flower after grinding it well. This medicine can be taken twice a day along with water.
- Traditionally the samoolam or whole plant is prepared as decoction and given to treat jaundice.
- Fungal infections of nail caused by Tinea unguium and conditions like Athlete’s foot can be treated by applying fresh leaf paste over the affected area and bandaged.
- The oil prepared from the seeds is used as an external application over the body to cure burning sensation by acting as a collant.
