Siddha Medicinal Uses :
- The choornam of lavamgam is given in the dose of 1/2 to 1 gram with honey twice a day for cough fever and digestive problems.
- For halitosis, tooth ache and other dental problems, cotton wool soaked in clove oil can be applied externally over the affected area or half teaspoon of clove oil with 60 ml of water can be gargled three or four times a day.
- In the conditions like Cholera water boiled with lavangam is given at regular intervals.
- Siddha Medicines like Amukkura chooranam, Eladi choornam, Thaleesathi choornam etc contains lavangam as one among the key ingredient.
