CCRAS Advances Ayurvedic Research and Community Health Across India

Pioneering Research and Clinical Trials

The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Ayush, is making significant strides in promoting Ayurvedic research and improving community health across India. Through its various research initiatives and outreach programs, CCRAS is enhancing the scientific validation of Ayurveda and extending its benefits to communities nationwide.

Pioneering Research and Clinical Trials

CCRAS has undertaken numerous clinical trials and research projects to develop evidence-based Ayurvedic solutions for various health conditions. The council focuses on validating traditional formulations, identifying new therapeutic solutions, and integrating Ayurveda into mainstream healthcare practices. These efforts aim to ensure the safety, efficacy, and acceptance of Ayurvedic treatments globally.

Community-Oriented Initiatives

To make Ayurvedic healthcare more accessible, CCRAS has launched several community health programs across rural and urban areas. These initiatives include:

  • Tribal Health Care Research Program (THCRP): Providing healthcare to tribal populations through Ayurvedic interventions.
  • Ayurveda Mobile Health Care Program (AMHCP): Delivering Ayurvedic treatments and awareness programs to remote communities.

Promotion of Integrative Healthcare

CCRAS is also contributing to the government’s vision of integrative healthcare by collaborating with various medical institutions and hospitals. The council is working towards integrating Ayurvedic principles with modern medicine to offer holistic treatment options that enhance patient care.

Future Goals

Looking ahead, CCRAS aims to expand its research capabilities, promote Ayurvedic education, and continue fostering community health by leveraging the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda with scientific advancements. The council’s efforts align with the broader vision of the Ministry of Ayush to make Ayurveda a globally recognized and evidence-based healthcare system.
