Foods for Healthy BrainHealthy body and a sound mind in a human being is considered to be the most precious wealth. Keeping a healthy and balanced diet routine is very essential for a disease free body. Life of each person has become busy and occupied, making choice of right food may not be possible always. Moving with the flow of work and schedule, one forgets that the entire day and performance depends on how our brain functions and struggles to meet the expected target whether in workplace or at home. Sometimes one feels exhausted or the brain refuses to co-operate due to excessive and over work load. This can be avoided and one can always keep the brain active and sharp if they give their brains the right food.

Here is some foods which is energy giving and nutritious for our Master Brain. Just go through these brain boosters.

Whole grains : Whole grains especially wheat, barley, brown rice are rich sources of carbohydrate and important for proper brain function. Maintaining proper glucose level to enhance normal functioning of both body and brain requires any one type of whole grain servings daily. According to health experts daily 100 gms of carbohydrate is needed along with diet to maintain normal brain function.

Salad : Green Leafy vegetables is another source of energy and nutrition giving food source. Various leafy veges, lettuce, carrot, broccoli  cabbage, onion, cucumber, tomatoes etc can be prepared as salad and included in diet as daily servings. As salad contains high amount of vitamins and antioxidant, it helps in a healthy brain function too.

Almonds : To keep a good memory almonds are very beneficial. Daily intake of 5-6 almonds is enough for a super brain.

Fish : If you a non-vegetarian and love fish in your diet then its good news, Fishes like Salmon, Tuna etc are rich in Calcium, Protein and Omega 3 Fatty acid which nourishes the brain and nerves. Minimum 2 servings per week of this is good for brain.

Eggs : Eggs contain rich amount of albumin, Vitamin E, Omega – 3 – Fatty Acid, proteins, fats which nourishes brain cell and promotes normal functioning.

Yoghurt : Aminocaids in Yoghurt helps to reduce stress, and improves memory. Yoghurt when taken with fruits and Vegetables is more healthy.
