National Workshop on Safety & Efficacy of metallic preparations in Siddha
Siddha National Workshop on “EVIDENCE BASED RESEARCH ON SAFETY & EFFICACY OF METALLIC PREPARATIONS IN SIDDHA” is supposed to be held on 24 & 25 February 2012 at Banquet Hall, Goverment Guest House, Thycaud, Trivandrum. This workshop will serve as a platform to share Methodologies with modern techniques by executing Chemical Research with assistance of Research in various fields like Chmistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathology etc and there by enhancing the exploration of Siddha system Nationally & Internationally. Siddha system is the most ancient and Traditional system of medicine for Treatment & Prevention of various ailments practiced mainly in South India. However use of metallic preparations as a part of Siddha Medicine has created hue and cry regarding Toxicity & Efficacy of drugs. The classic formulations follow a strict pre-treatment of drugs including Toxicity elimination of herbs and minerals. Devolopment of validated standard operation procedures (SOP’S) for purification of toxic ingredients, formulations of Siddha shall bring safe and effective Siddha fomulations. Hence this workshop will serve an opportunity to enrich knowledge and its utilisation for future devolopments in areas of work. This workshop is restricted only upto 100 participants, those belonging to Medical Officer’s (ISM), Teacher’s, Students of Siddha Colleges, Siddha Manufacturers & Researcher’s working in Pharmaceutical & Allied areas.
