Actions : Astringent, Emmenagogue, Anti-inflammatory, Anti-diarrhoeal.

Siddha Medicinal Uses :

  1. The decoction of the wood has astringent action hence helpful to control diarrhoea.
  2. Wood decoction has emmenogogue and anti-inflammatory action also.
  3. In South india, the bark of the wood is used in boiling water used for drinking purpose. It is suppose to bring a good effect in body, so even today this practice is followed.
